FAQ
What Parents Usually Want to Know
What exactly is a Career Shorts program?
A structured career-validation experience that helps your teen explore a specific career, evaluate fit and readiness, and leave with clearer next steps before making a major education commitment.
Is it live or prerecorded?
Programs are live and virtual. They are not prerecorded courses. Your teen participates in scheduled sessions with a real industry professional.
Is it one-on-one or a group?
Paid Career Shorts programs are delivered primarily one-on-one. Selected discovery events or special sessions may use a small-group format.
Who are the industry professionals?
They are experienced professionals with firsthand career experience—such as nurses, teachers, pilots, and professionals from other industries represented by Career Shorts.
What ages are the programs for?
Career Shorts is designed primarily for teens ages 15–19 who are undecided or already considering a specific career.
What does my teen receive?
Depending on the program, your teen can receive career-fit findings, strengths and gaps, pathway options, readiness priorities, personalized recommendations, and a practical roadmap with clear next steps.
How long does a program take?
Current programs range from approximately 3 to 10 hours, depending on whether your family chooses Career Fit Discovery, Starter, Standard, or Advanced.
What if the career is not a fit?
That can be a valuable outcome. Discovering a mismatch earlier can help your teen reconsider assumptions, identify gaps, or explore a better direction before committing significant time and tuition.
Can a parent be involved?
Yes. Career Shorts is designed to give families clearer information for the decision while keeping the teen actively involved in exploring and evaluating the career.
How much do programs cost?
Pricing varies by career, industry professional, and package. Current programs start at $295 CAD, with full pricing shown on each career program page.
Are admissions, income, or employment guaranteed?
No. Career Shorts provides career exploration, validation, readiness insight, and planning. It does not guarantee school admission, income, licensing, or employment outcomes.
Can my teen explore more than one career?
Yes. If your teen is comparing multiple paths, they can explore different Career Shorts programs to build a clearer basis for comparison.
